SHORE EXCURSION TOUR IN ISTANBUL

SHORE EXCURSION TOUR IN ISTANBUL

This is the perfect itinerary for cruise ship travelers coming to İstanbul. We know that your time in the city is very valuable, for this reason we created a well-balanced Istanbul tour itinerary for you.

Our guide will meet you in Galataport (cruise ship ports of İstanbul) at the determined time.

Our guide will be welcoming you with a big board that has your name on it. Once you meet with your tour guide, you hop on your luxurious vehicle and have a 30- minutes panoramic Istanbul sightseeing tour.

Following the panoramic tour, we make our way to the old city- called Sultanahmet- where majority of the monuments are located.

Please note that, we have the privilege to skip the queues at the museums, this saves us a lot of time during the tour!

We visit the following monuments:

Hagia Sophia: Once the biggest church in the city, is one of the most important monuments in İstanbul. Cathedral of the Byzantine empire and one of the most important mosques of the Ottoman Empire.

Blue Mosque*: Most famous mosque in the city. The name blue comes from the İznik tiles.

Hippodrome Square: Former social center of the city during the Roman & Byzantine era.

Underground Cistern: Historical cistern where the Byzantines saved water for emergencies.

Grand Bazaar: First shopping mall of the world, is today’s biggest covered bazaar where the locals still buy precious items.

*If the queue is too long, Blue Mosque will be visited from outside.

Your tour guide will be giving brief information about each venue, approximately 20-30 minutes at each monument – and then you will have 5 to 10 minutes free time for photography.

After visiting historical monuments, you will make your way to the Grand Bazaar which is still the biggest covered market of the world. Your guide will take you to the most interesting, less known parts of this enormous bazaar which offers variety of unique products, objects and antiques with her nearly 2000 shops.

For the ones who are not interested in shopping: Grand Bazaar has some of the most typical cafe’s in İstanbul, you can sip your Turkish coffee and watch the vibrant atmosphere of the bazaar as shoppers go by.
