Today İn Hagia Sophia

You are looking at the former sultans palace from 19th century which turned into the most luxurious hotel of the city in the 90’s. And in between this was what it looked like!

This shot was taken before Kempinski rented the palace in ruins and turned it into one of the most luxurious hotels of the city.

There was actually a public pool right beside it and it would be packed with people in the hot days of summer in Istanbul.

Amazing to see the change in the city in a few decades.
