Who Says There İs No Street Art İn Istanbul?

Well, yes it is rare to see any graffiti on the streets of Istanbul. However, in line with all the unexpectedness the city possesses, you may run into one as you are walking down the street on a semi-residential part of town.

This one is between Tophane and Cihangir. Cihangir is a residential neighborhood which became hip about ten years ago with the growing interest of the artists and writers followed by the young professionals, the neighborhood attracted various cafe’s, bars and taverns.

On your way down from Cihangir to Tophane where you might be heading to see the Dali exhibition in Tophane-i Amire, you can see this street art on the wall of one of the houses.
