Vault Karaköy is due to open on March 1st, 2014!
It’s the fourth hotel of House Hotel, the luxurious boutique hotel chain.
Vault is located on Bankalar Caddesi in Karaköy, the former Bank Avenue of the late Ottoman financial center. It is an exciting time for the district which is going through gentrification. The hotel is located very close to Salt Galata, which has become a very important cultural hub in the city.
Vault is based in a renovated historical building, the former Sümerbank. 19th century building, with its quiet high ceilings and old frescoes, is quiet enchanting. Like the other hotels of the House Hotel Group, this one is also designed with a clean, modern touch. Details like green carrera marble in the bathrooms and contemporary art on the walls, attract attention. Half of the art is from Ulusoy collection whereas the other half is picked by Zeynep Berik Yazıcı and will feature neon art and video art.
The view above, is that of the rooftop of the hotel. Not only is the hotel located in a very central location, she also has one of the finest views of the historical peninsula where the imperial mosques of the Ottoman era and the Topkapı Palace is lighted up in the evening.
Karaköy’s more artsy district with hip cafe’s and contemporary art galleries, is only 5 minutes walking distance away from the hotel.
Galata Tower and Galata neighborhood, especially Serdar-ı Ekrem street which houses local fashion designer brands, cool cafe’s and unique stores, is only 10 minutes away from the hotel.
