Van Gogh Alive

Van Gogh Alive is definitely one of the better exhibitions Istanbul has seen in a while! 

First of all, the way the exhibition is designed is very different from conventional exhibitions. 

The vast area covered with screens that reach from the floor to the ceiling reflect various paintings of the artist who lived at the end of the 19th century.

Also among the walls are the sentences from his writings. Meanwhile, the music also compliments the visuals in a harmonious way. 

In half an hour, you have seen all the paintings, however it wouldn’t be surprising if you wished to stay for another round!

Note: Portrait of Doctor Gachet holds the record as the most expensive painting to be ever sold at an auction. The painting was sold only in 3 minutes, in 1990, to a Japanese businessman for 82.5 million USD!
