There are tons of meat restaurants in Istanbul, yet this one is very special. With her cosy atmosphere and delicious meze’s, Zübeyir is among the favorite meat restaurants both for locals and expats living in İstanbul.
Owner Zübeyir Usta (chef) is present at his restaurant most of the days, preparing/cooking the meat and kebaps and chatting with the clients.
Once you take your place several meze’s and starters are served right away such as Van cacığı (yogurt meze with tiny cucumber pieces), Acılı ezme (pounded spicy tomato) and grilled eggplant.
Among the kebap dishes “Tarak Kebabı”, unopened lamb cutlets, are recommended.
Make sure you have a reservation, especially on weekends.
