Basilica of St. John
Located in Selçuk, near Ephesus, the Basilica of St. John was constructed by Emperor Justinian I in the 6th century.
It was built over the believed burial site of John the Apostle. Though in ruins today, the scale of the basilica hints at its former grandeur and importance within Byzantine Christendom.
From the elevated hilltop, visitors enjoy sweeping views of Selçuk and the Aegean landscape, enhancing the spiritual ambiance of the site.
