Ancient City of Perge
Located just east of Antalya, Perge was once a major city of ancient Pamphylia and is renowned for its impressive Roman architecture and urban planning.
Founded around the 12th century BCE, the city flourished during the Hellenistic and Roman periods, becoming an important center of trade and culture.
Visitors today can walk along its grand colonnaded streets, explore the well-preserved theater, stadium, agora, and Roman baths.
The site also holds significance in early Christian history, as the Apostle Paul is believed to have passed through Perge during his missionary journeys.
Surrounded by orange groves and Mediterranean light, the ruins still echo the grandeur of a classical city at its peak.
