ALONG THE BAY OF GOLDEN HORN
This tour lets you explore an off-the-beaten-path part of the city, around the bay of Golden Horn.
Golden Horn, is one of the reasons this city is so special. It is a big bay which goes inland for 7km (app. 4.5miles) and creates a natural harbor.
During this tour you will stroll through the following places:
Koç Museum: Rich private collection of Rahmi Koc, a leading Turkish industrialist. The collection will give you a great backdrop of history of transportation.
Pierre Loti Hill: The hill with a panoramic view of the Golden Horn, was made famous by the French poet, Pierre Loti.
Chora Museum: Finest Byzantine mosaics of the city are tucked away in this tiny former church.
