Istanbul İs Hosting The Moving Museum

Istanbul will be home to an exciting art project from August until October. The Moving Museum, an artistic institution that creates projects through a traveling program of contemporary art exhibitions, is launching its newest project at Art Kültür in Istanbul’s Cihangir neighborhood. The project is a three-month long artist residency that will host 38 international artists, including 12 Turkish artists.

Currently painter Mai-Thu Parret is apprenticing in the art of kilim in the eastern city of Van and NY based artist Rafaël Rozendaal is hosting an interactive YouTube party inviting visitors to bring their laptops to the gallery.

The works created during the residencies will culminate in an exhibition at the end of October. If you’re visiting Istanbul in the next two months, make sure to check out their projects.
