Artists Open Their Studios To The Public
Open Studio Days, a non-profit organization coordinated by Juliane Saupe and Deniz Beser, provides an opportunity for visual artists, designers, illustrators, to open their doors and embrace the wider creative community and general public of Istanbul.
Open Studio Days are the artists’ chance to share their work with a curious audience without needing galleries. They will open their studios, homes, spaces and invite people in. With a map in hand, people can wander from studio to studio to explore the vivid labors, work shops and action spaces in Taksim, Cihangir, Galata, Karaköy, Tophane and Teşvikiye, which are normally not open to the public.
Sami Baruh, Gözde Başkent, Deniz Beşer, Şebnem Çakaloğulları, Eda Emirdağ, Defne Güntürkün, Sedef Karakaş, Koff Animation, Erbil Sivaslıoğlu (BittiGitti), Streetart İstanbul İnsiyatifi (Pertev Emre Taştaban // Pet05 Street Projects // Uygar Demoğlu // Akkor), Aslı Şarman Toğulga (Wohha), Gülçin Uzun, Gamze Yalçın, Melike Yavuz (pianneaura) and Şule Yiğit will open their studios for Open Studio Days 2014.
