13th Istanbul Biennial started on Saturday, Sept 14th!

One of the interesting parallel exhibitions, is held in Yuvakimyon Girls School, a beautiful 19th century building in Fener that used to be Girls School for Greek children until 1988. 

The school which was abandoned for 25 years, came back to life with Kalliopi Lemos’ exhibition ‘I am, Between Worlds and Between Shadows’.

Important Greek artist, Kalliopi Lemos, who focuses on human rights and women’s issues, has created seven beautiful statues which represent various struggles women face around the world. 

A must-see exhibition! Don’t miss it!
